We use a secure server to store the information you give us when you register, enquire or submit a referral online. Other information which you submit online (such as completing an enquiry form) may not be subject to the same protection and you do so at your own risk.

How do I access or update the information you hold about me?

You have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you at any time, including copies of your health records (where relevant). If you would like a copy of some, or all, of your personal information, please contact Move Better Physiotherapy directly. Any Subject Access Request is free of charge on the first request in line with GDPR. We may charge an administration fee for future requests if we feel such requests are excessive or not required. We want to make sure that your personal information is accurate and up to-date; you may ask us to correct or remove information you think is inaccurate.

How long will you keep my data?

Legally we are required to retain your records for 8 years from the date of last treatment for adult records, and for children 8 years after their 18th birthday or until 25 years of age. We will retain your health data beyond this period to be able to provide a full and complete service and to protect against any future legal challenge(s) and support any claims with accurate information. Who will you share my data with?

Any personal data will only be collected for the purposes of providing physiotherapy or allied healthcare service within clinics. Every effort will be taken to ensure your data is accurate, kept up to date and rectified without delay. We will not share your data with any other third party without your explicit consent unless legally required to do so. This may include onward referral to consultants, GP, another medical service or insurance provider. We may participate in research and audits in order to improve our service standards. In such cases we will anonymise your data prior to sharing with any research institution. We will not share or sell your data with or to any other third party for marketing purposes.

Will I receive marketing information?

We will only send you marketing information where you have provided your consent to receive it. This may include information about products and services provided by Move Better Physiotherapy and other companies which may be of interest to you. You have the right to stop us from contacting you for marketing purposes.
