Physiotherapy aims to restore movement and function following injury or illness. Appointments consist of detailed assessment and evidence based treatments combining exercises and manual therapy. We also aim to educate you about your condition and how best to manage it.

We offer sports massage by qualified therapists. Appointments last your choice of 30, 45 or 60 minutes.

Manual therapy is a combination of soft tissue techniques such as massage, and joint mobilisations. Your physiotherapist will discuss with you whether this is appropriate for your condition.

Acupuncture is used to aid pain management and inflammation. It involves placing small fine needles into and around the affected area. Your therapist will be able to advise you if this is an appropriate technique for you.

Exercises for you to do at home will be at the heart of your physiotherapy treatment. These will be modified for you to aid you to meet your goals - whether that is gym based or just feeling more able to manage your daily activities.

Taping is often used as a management strategy to support a return to activity. We can apply your tape for you, including for events, but we will also teach you how best to apply tape yourself.
